I started to read Lori Wilde's "The true Love Quilting Club" The first couple of chapters are not bad. I haven't had much time to read, but I am enjoying the story so far.

I came across a new author to me. Maddy Barone writes paranormal romances. The story that caught my eye is Wolf Tracker which is Book 3 of Maddy's "After the Crash" series.

I have three books that I am trying to decide which one that I am going to read first. The three books are as followed:

All three books sound good. I might wait on reading Goddess of Spring, since it is the second in this series. I don't think I need to read them in order, but I like to read series in order if I can. Maybe I will just read them in the order I have listed here.

Happy New Year everyone!

Hopefully everyone has a prosperous year. So what Near Year Resolutions did you make? I want to try and lose another 20 to 35 pounds of weight. I'm also going to try my best and write on my blog almost every day or at least twice a week. I'm going to try and read more books and try my best to write a review for each one that I read. The only other resolution that I made was to try and keep my home clean. Good luck to everyone who has made a resolution and hopefully we will be able to stick to those resolutions that we make.

Unfortunately I have't had time to read a story lately. I have been busy keeping touch with my family in Ohio every day to keep updated on how my mom is doing. About 3 weeks ago we didn't think she was going to make it, but she is doing a lot better now. So I'm looking forward to reading some good stories next year. I'm looking forward to reading some new stories from some of my favorite authors. Some of the books I'm hoping to get are:
Spirit of the Sky by Paty Jager which will be available May 4, 2012.
Changeling Dawn by Dani Harper which was recently released.
The Snow Bride by Lindsay Townsend was released December 27, 2011.
Dragon's Desire by Delilah Devlin to be release in January 2010.

There are plenty of other books that I want to get and read but I think I will start with these first, beside read some of the books that I already have.

Obviously I am shite at keeping up my blog. I told myself a couple months ago that I was going to keep it up, but that isn't happening. I have been working some long hours and really haven't been doing much of anything but sleeping. I barely even read other people's blogs. This I was doing pretty good for the last month and a half, but for the past 2 weeks I haven't. Some of it, I am having computer problems and who wants to fight with a PC to get it up and hope that it doesn't freeze or go very slow. I really need to either fix it myself or take it to someone and have it fixed. Thursday, July 21st I ended up off the road. I am fine, but did some damaged to my car. Now I am playing phone tag with the insurance agent. Hopefully I will hear back from them. Anyways, what's my point? I don't have one. Not even a little. I'm just telling you what's on my mind at the moment. I promised to try to blog more, I didn't say it had to be nobel prize worthy words though.

I unfortunately didn't get to do my reading challenges that I signed up for. I endend up working a lot of hours and then my husband was diagnosed with diabetes. These last few months have been busy for me. It been interesting to figure out what to cook for my husband. I have learned that he can have fried food as long as it is fried in olive oil or canola oil. Hopefully someone will do the reading challenges again this year and I will have time to participate in them. I was really looking forward to the ones that I was supposed of did last year.

I just joined is the Re-Read Challenge 2010 hosted by Nath at Books, Books and More Books blog.

The only rules for this challenge are you must have read the book at least once before and you need to re-read one book a month. That's it!

Why I love reading books.

I have always read and always dream of what was taking place in the novels happening to me one day. Reading is my place away from everything happening now. When I read, it is like I become the main heroine and what happens to her is happening to me. Also reading takes you all over the world and puts you in different situation then you would normally find oneself. I can let my imagination run wild with all of the the ideas I get from reading books from all of the fantastic authors out there.

Irish Folklore about a Roane

First time I heard about a Roane was when I was reading a Romance novel that dealt with a male Roane and a human female. A Roane is another name for a seal person in Irish Folklore.

Selkies is another name for seal people. The Romance Story that I read was really good and it got me more interested in learning more about the Irish Folklore about seal people. Seal people take their seal skin off and then they become a human. Janna article was very interesting to read about how the seal people would interact with the humans. What about you have you heard of the seal people? Or heard of some other folklore that you never heard of before?
