What are you reading?

Unfortunately I have't had time to read a story lately. I have been busy keeping touch with my family in Ohio every day to keep updated on how my mom is doing. About 3 weeks ago we didn't think she was going to make it, but she is doing a lot better now. So I'm looking forward to reading some good stories next year. I'm looking forward to reading some new stories from some of my favorite authors. Some of the books I'm hoping to get are:
Spirit of the Sky by Paty Jager which will be available May 4, 2012.
Changeling Dawn by Dani Harper which was recently released.
The Snow Bride by Lindsay Townsend was released December 27, 2011.
Dragon's Desire by Delilah Devlin to be release in January 2010.

There are plenty of other books that I want to get and read but I think I will start with these first, beside read some of the books that I already have.

Wednesday's A Moment for You.

You are one-of-a-kind incredible! Ordinary? That's not you. Average? That's not you, either. You know who you are? Somebody with a list of good qualities too long to ignore. Somebody as precious as the rarest gem. Somebody life wouldn't be the same without. Somebody like nobody else in this whole, wide world. Somebody truly special! - Anonymous

A Moment for You.

You have special powers! You can picture success instead of failure. You can see your strengths instead of only your "flaws". You can replace doubt with hope and transform disappointment into determination. You can do something that makes more of a difference than money, fame, or luck: You can believe. Dreams do come true, and yours can too! - Anonymous

I am currently reading Patricia Briggs's Moon Called. Which is one of her Mercy Thompson stories. So far it is a very good story. It has kept my interest and I keep turning the pages to find out what will happen next.

Wednesday Rambles

Obviously I am shite at keeping up my blog. I told myself a couple months ago that I was going to keep it up, but that isn't happening. I have been working some long hours and really haven't been doing much of anything but sleeping. I barely even read other people's blogs. This I was doing pretty good for the last month and a half, but for the past 2 weeks I haven't. Some of it, I am having computer problems and who wants to fight with a PC to get it up and hope that it doesn't freeze or go very slow. I really need to either fix it myself or take it to someone and have it fixed. Thursday, July 21st I ended up off the road. I am fine, but did some damaged to my car. Now I am playing phone tag with the insurance agent. Hopefully I will hear back from them. Anyways, what's my point? I don't have one. Not even a little. I'm just telling you what's on my mind at the moment. I promised to try to blog more, I didn't say it had to be nobel prize worthy words though.

Her Soul to Keep by Delilah Devlin

Published by Delilah
Genre: Contemporary
vampire
Series: Part of the My
Immortal Knights
Format: eBook
On Sale: May 25, 2011

One night of pleasure…

His name is Viper—a dark mysterious enigma who rules the seedy, dangerous vampiric underworld. For one night, he will escape his murky prison and tempt an innocent.

…can last a lifetime…

Beautiful Mariah haunts him. Lures him from his den with a glimpse of his past. One she doesn’t remember. This night, he’ll be her dream lover. He’ll seduce her, make her fall in love with him—then leave her. Again.

One night of pleasure is all they must know.

Warning! This novella is an erotic paranormal love story. Expect explicit language, frequent, copious sexual antics, an insatiable vampire, and a woman whose world is about to be rocked.

Novella length: 10,000 words

Review: This short story was very good and I hated to see it end, but I loved
how Delilah captivated me till the very end. The writing was tight,
the story flowed at an even pace and the characters were well written.
Delilah writes love scenes that are sensual, have you holding your
breath and leave you wanting more. HER SOUL TO KEEP delivers
delightful characters to root for and a romance that will leave you
aching for more.

What I have read recently

Daniel's Bride by Linda Lael Miller
description:
Jolie McKibben figured that when a woman has to choose between death and marriage to a total stranger, she must be in a desperate predicament. And Jolie, standing under the hot sun with a noose around her neck, surely was. But something--the defiant lift of her chin or her frightened blue-green eyes-had caught the attention of Daniel Beckham. He stopped the hanging by invoking the town's wedding ordinance and married the pretty "outlaw" on the spot.

So Joke's hide was saved ...only her pride was wounded! Daniel didn't believe she was innocent, and he barely spoke on the drive out to his farm. Worse still, two desperados were on her trail, and she didn't dare confide her troubles to her new husband. Yet under the star-splashed Western sky, Jolie trembled whenever this rugged giant of a man came near. Now she hungered for his kisses, dreamed of his touch, and knew she would do anything a woman could to win his love--to be, with her body and her soul, truly Daniel's bride.

This was a very good book. I enjoy Linda's stories very much.
Tomorrow I will share what is in my to be read pile. I have a mixture of some new books and some thats been out for a while. I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Saturday evening

I unfortunately didn't get to do my reading challenges that I signed up for. I endend up working a lot of hours and then my husband was diagnosed with diabetes. These last few months have been busy for me. It been interesting to figure out what to cook for my husband. I have learned that he can have fried food as long as it is fried in olive oil or canola oil. Hopefully someone will do the reading challenges again this year and I will have time to participate in them. I was really looking forward to the ones that I was supposed of did last year.
